Saturday morning cartoons don't quite have the zing they did back in 1995, so here I am conducting this exercise to basically test BRTD's memory and patience! I only included artists who tour (at least) nationally.

(sorted by total number of last.fm plays for sh**ts and giggles, why not)

Iron Maiden (114,109,324)
Blind Guardian (39,866,478)
Infected Mushroom (27,190,156)
Van Halen (24,802,943)
Skrillex (22,194,428)
Symphony X (10,674,903)
Benny Benassi (9,592,040)
Leaves' Eyes (7,258,265)
Pretty Lights (7,006,561)
Chiddy Bang (6,506,920)
Diplo (3,025,636)
Umphrey's McGee (2,697,278)
El Ten Eleven (2,232,192)
Wolfgang Gartner (1,664,829)
Afrojack (1,496,084)
Yonder Mountain String Band (1,355,114)
Morgan Page (1,199,553)
Mimosa (787,777)
Big Gigantic (600,177)
Sanctity (450,890)
Flux Pavilion (354,991)
3LAU (330,100)
Echoes of Eternity (321,927)
NERVO (106,915)

I've also attended Day Glow (America's largest paint party!TM) but I don't think the DJ they had in Champaign-Urbana was anyone special.

-Arlo Guthrie (2012)
-ACDC (2009-sucked)
-Kenny Rodgers (2002-meh)
-Vince Gill (2002-sucked)

I don't go to a lot of concerts...the first two were for my grandma's 60th birthday.

About five or six years ago, my parents took me into a show that had one of the players from the band Yes do some stand-up routines and play some music, but nothing else.  Concerts are fu**ing expensive.

Very much so. I'm particularly jealous that you got to see the Silver Jews before Berman retired.

My list off the top of my head, and in no particular order -

Bon Iver
Cloud Nothings
The Field

Bruce Springsteen
Rooney
Fountains of Wayne
Common
Queen Latifah
Joe Jonas
Foo Fighters

Can't remember who else. I'm not a huge live music fan for some reason. Maybe it's just because I have yet to see anyone I actually LOVE and want to go see live. Not that they weren't great shows by some great artists, but nothing was really over the top enjoyable. Except Bruce, that's always a ridiculous time. I was gonna go see Rizzle Kicks, one of my favorites for the last few years now, in Belfast last summer just before they were getting really big. Huge mistake not going.

The ones that I go to range $5-20. I think $17 or $18 is the most I've ever spent (not counting fests obviously.)

Keep in mind a lot of those are just local bands or smaller bands touring with a much bigger one. There are a few shows I've gone just for the openers though.

If Disembodied isn't one of them that's quite sad because they wrote the book that so many of your favorite bands rip off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgH-sSn7Nz4

Same with Harvest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyMJSWMshgY
