I don't think California would want anything to do with Arnie again. Tom Campbell would be a very good candidate, but still lose by a heavy margin. I think he would have done significantly better against Boxer in 2010 than Fiorina.

For Montana, not Rehberg. I'd go with former Governor Marc Raciot.

Or Catherine Cortez Masto, the Attorney General. Both were seen by Reid as being preferable to Berkley.

Who would you recommend? Coakley lost to Brown, and Warren's too easily portrayed as an DFEL.

wrt to Arnie, it's got more to do with the Republicans bench in Cali being tiny. But Campbell probably could've beaten Boxer, so fair enough.

And yeah, Raiciot is probably better than Rehberg - he was leading by a larger margin than Rehberg in preliminary polling.

Fair enough. I forgot about Miller whereas I don't know Masto.

Warren is easily the best candidate Democrats have here, and one of the few who could seriously give Brown a race. The challenge is that Scott Brown is the political equivalent of a rockstar in the state. The only way to beat a rockstar is with another rockstar.
