Canadians prefer Barack Obama to Mitt Romney by almost a seven to one margin.

Nationally, 68% would vote for President Obama if they had a vote in the upcoming Presidential election, while 10% would vote for Mitt Romney.

President Obama is the preferred choice of a majority of respondents across all regions and demographic groups.

Mr. Romney is most popular in the province of Alberta, but even there, Mr. Obama is the preferred choice by a 50%-19% margin.

Damn. As I recall, Bush would've won New Brunswick in 2004.

I doubt the GOP's hysteria over healthcare plays well in Canada.

The best part is that Obama wins 58-24 among Conservatives. LOL!

If Romney wouldn't even win in Canada, I'd love to see how he'd do in Mexico. Tongue

It's partly because Canadians think Obamacare is exactly like ournuniversal public healthcare.

Israel perhaps? Russia maybe? Doubt the latter though.

Probably not Israel. Don't the right-wing parties win Israel with only a very small plurality? Or am I mistaken here?

Being left or right in an American context isn't what Israel is interested in, you know...

And Alison Redford, who's sort of the Barack Obama of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta.

Last time I saw, some random poll showed Obama more popular in Israel than he is at home. So the search for a Romney haven continues.

Egypt.  Romney led 73-25 there in a recent poll.

Given that, it's possible he also leads in other parts of the Muslim world (Pakistan, probably?).

For other countries, I think Romney might win Philippines.

As for the topic, I'm just shocked to learn that Romney isn't leading overwhelmingly in Alberta.

That is true, although I'm still scratching my head as to how she managed it.

Funny how older people prefer Obama more than younger people.

Very rich Greens for example. They exist.
