So France has qualified Sad Tragic. Those horrible nincompoops deserved sitting this WC out. With any hope, their performance will be as illustrious as in 2010.

Overall, today was more proof that Europe really does need more slots than 13. Perhaps up the count to 40, give 5 to Europe (top 2 in each group), and one apiece to Africa, Asia, and South America.

Nah, France alternates great and pathetic World Cup performances. (1998, 2006 vs. 2002, 2010).

Meaning that World Cup 2014 will of course end with France defeating Brazil in the final.

I'm pleased with Scotlands recent form. There's always Euro 2016!

You mean 2002. Wink

As much as I'd obviously hate that, seeing France beat Brazil in the Final on home soil would be hilarious.

Croatians in the stadium last night celebrated with Pro Nazi chants lead by well known trouble maker and national defender Joe Simunic.

I have nothing to do tonight so I might as well watch Uruguay's coronation ceremony.

Uruguay wins 5-0 away and can't score a single goal at home.

Supposedly Ibra is the only player on PSG whose national team did not qualify for next year's tournament. Bwahahaha.

It's not as if Ukraine, or Sweden minus Ibra, or let's face it France played any less clearly undeservant as Algeria or Burkina Faso.

The track record of African and European nations at the world cup indicates that this probably isn't true.

You do realize I didn't refer to their potential or track record or my expectations for them at the world cup in the above sentence. Smiley

Not to rub it in Gustaf's face but something I noticed last night after having a Soccer argument related to the Swedish and Danish national teams (Only me, right?): this will be the first major international tournament since 1982 that will not feature a single team from Scandinavia. That includes World Cups and Euros.

I noticed there weren't any and that that was quite unusual, but 1982? That is indeed long.

In a rehearsal draw today, Italy got Brazil, France and Australia. Cheesy

Italy must be the only side that wants a Group of Death. And just imagine a Brazil-Italy opener. My God...
