Let's hope Giroud takes some inspiration from his fellow Arsenal man and does what needs to be done tomorrow. Ukraine qualifying instead of France would be a tragedy.

...if France is up 2-0, they need to break the tie in overtime or a penalty shoot out so...

Technically speaking... not for friendly internationals. (Since the more general, "post anything vaguely relevant here" thread is dedicated to club soccer.)

Then again, the day I'll understand people caring about friendly internationals not held in direct preparation for a major tournament is the day the Alps cave in, I suppose. Smiley

Ah crap. French hold in OT, win in PK.

This has been the place to discuss Friendly matches. It's most appropriate. It's also the case that nobody cares about two joke teams. Wink

Correct score, wrong winner.

Quite the plausible outcome for all the other Americas-free games he tipped, too. Tongue

Burkies hold their aggregate lead but they definitely dominated the first round. Hopefully we get more debut teams after Bosnia.

Yeah, they played the A team (more or less) against Italy already.

Romania now need three unanswered goals just to tie up the aggregate. Greece should be fine.

Algeria would qualify as of now due to away goals.

Damn, Icelands striker Siegtorsson (great name btw) or so is injured and can't play.

That's why I need to change my prediction to 2-0 Croatia.

And it was Mandzukic. This is going to be an interesting full second half.

He is the kind of  player who needs to be with a big, ref-favored team to avoid constant sendings-off.

Like most successful Bayern forwards of the past decades. He's found the right club for himself.
