Is this the first 2016 straw poll? This was conducted last week, at a gathering of liberal activists in DC. Choice for 2016 Democratic nominee for POTUS:

Hillary Clinton 27%
Sherrod Brown 16%
Andrew Cuomo 6%
Mark Warner 4%
Joe Biden 3%
other 12%
don't know 0%
Yes, the sitting VPOTUS gets a lot of love. Only 209 people participated in this straw poll. Still, the straw poll combined with this dispatches from the conference:
http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/06/elizabeth-warren-for-president-democrats-barren-2016-bench/258772/offers a window into the minds of at least one corner of the activist base of the party. I've mentioned before that I think that if Hillary Clinton wants the 2016 Dem. nomination, she could probably win it pretty decisively, and that one of many reasons why that's true is because that among some Dems, there's a sense of "unfinished business" from 2008, about electing the first female president. Well, I wonder….if HRC *doesn't* run, then will there be a significant "Draft Warren" effort from some in the party? (Obviously, this depends on her first winning that senate race this November.)
