I'm not sure....probably one of the top 4.  I'm leaning towards Andy with Dan as honorable mention.  Both were fun, but kind men.  Hank and Red are good, but probably a bit too controlling.

Based on the Futurama season premiere on Wednesday, Bender would be a surprisingly good father.

Dan wins for me. I always loved that show.. It was so similar to real life America.

I've heard of literally none of these choices.

Those are american pop culture references.  I also didn't know a couple of them as they are too new for an expat.  For example 'Dan Connor'.

My dad was Andy Taylor though less 'down home' most of the time and more reserved/Waspy.  But similar.

Based on how much I like the show, Red Foreman and Hank Hill.

I really wouldn't want any of these people to be my dad.

Stars of two of my favorite shows, even to this day, Andy Taylor (the Andy Griffith Show) and Heathcliff Huxtable (The Cosby Show).

That said: I'm very pleased with the father that God gave me!  So, all things being equal, Andy and Heathcliff are secondary.

Just remembered - Where is Jed Clampitt (Beverly Hillbillies) on this list?

He would have been hilarious to have as an old man, methinks!

Bill Cosby isn't winning? This forum gets more and more racist by the day.

Easily Huxtable and Brady. Doctor and architect in Brooklyn and California sounds pretty sweet to me. Could do without Mrs. Huxtable though. She was a major PITA.

I thought it was 'pick which one is more similar to your actual father', not 'which one would you prefer as a father'.

Mike Brady.  I like older women, so maybe I could get Alice to forget that butcher. </creepy>

Red Foreman is the type of Dad I plan on being, or at least the type I aspire to and sympathize with, so I picked him.
