My fellow Atlasians,

I came to this forum a little under 10 months ago and after two months of lurking, I registered to vote in Atlasia. At first, I saw just a D and R divide that many new members still see today. Soon, after speaking with our fine Senator John F. Kennedy, I began to realize the fantasy board was much more than that. There was opportunity for everyone, regardless of wealth, race, sex, or age, whether you were a real life Democrat or real life Republican. That is the beauty of Atlasia, you can be who you want to be, and I want to be your next Senator!

Just six days before I came to the forum, former Senator and Supreme Court Justice DemRepDan had just posted the fully signed and ratified Atlas Constitution. A lot has changed since then and in the beginning of this year, seventeen delegates, including myself, shall draft the second Atlas Forum Constitution. The new constitution will bring forth radical new changes to our government and fix the holes of its predecessor.

Although the new constitution will change the structure and design of our government, we still have a lot more to do. If you elect me your next Senator, I will fight for procedure reform in the Senate so bills are debated and voted upon quickly and efficiently. I will simplify the tax code, be a Senator of true fiscal responsibility by working to balance the budget, and make sure every child in this country has healthcare and a decent education.

As we commemorate a full year as an independent nation, in the next month or so, and cross the bridge into the second, we must walk hand-in-hand with a leader that makes decisions for the people he represents as if he really was one of them. And I was and always will be one of you.

God bless you all and God bless Atlasia!

Good luck to you. Smiley  If Hughento decides not to run, I endorse your candidacy.  You were a fine senator during your previous four-year term and your politics are relatively close to JFK's.

If Hughento does run, well... then I'll be undecided on two fronts. Wink
