Popular Republican governer from a swing state gives praise to Democratic President seeking re-election. lol.

Guess this neutralises the Booker moment last week.

Some people say "No, I would not accept the VP job if it was offered." Others simply do this and avoid the whole "offering" part.

With a few more Sundays like this, Romney won't make it past August.

If Romney actually picks McDonnell as his VP expect this to be played over and over again.

This is probably going to hurt his 2016 chances, as well.

This shows a lot of what's wrong with American politics: the guys an answer that pretty much everyone knows is true if they're honest with themselves and everyone treats this as some kind of shocking revelation. Apparently the only Republican answer acceptable to the left right know is Obama is the spawn of satan responsible for all evil in the world who radiates economic depression and as he walks down the street factories are boarded up by his very presence.

We ask for politicians to be more honest with the American people and then attack them when they are.

Fixed it. If he runs for President in 2016 he will get blasted for this and may be used against him by others on Romney's shortlist contenders and vetters if he wants to be VP too. Otherwise it is spot on.

It's not really a matter of what is an acceptable answer to the left, it's about what the right thinks and they certainly don't want any of their people giving the President credit for anything. Most Republicans are not going to like this statement.

If anyone need's anymore proof of the current state of American politics look no further. Someone just saying that the President from the opposite party did some good is getting attacked from both sides.

Using moderate as an epithet "undermines our political system"-Michael Gerson

I'm not trying to attack him.  I actually agree with most of what he said.

Praise?

He said that Obama's actions benefited the economy in the short term but have undermined the economy in the long term.

That is a criticism, not a praise.

Good comment.  The fact of the matter is that the Obama Mania Media is demanding that Republican governors of states that have improved faster than the rest of the country must give Obama some credit, if for nothing else than raining gazillions of (mostly wasted) "stimulus money" on them in 2009.

Of much more interest to me is to look at the only thing about Obama that has upset other prominent Democratic officials:

His many failed promises (like shutting down Guantanamo)?  No.
His personal "Death List" from which he picks out which people around the world, including any nearby women and children, he will kill?  No.
His opposition to a ban on sex-selection abortions?  No.
His record-breaking use of federal tax dollars to reward his campaign contributors?  No.
His policy of letting military-style assault weapons flow unchecked to Mexican drug cartels, destroying our friendship with Mexico with the deaths of hundreds of Mexican citizens?  No.
No, no complaints about any of those!

His criticism -- mere criticism! -- or a private financial equity firm?  Thaaaaaat's what gets the top Democrats bothered.

Normally don't like or agree with WhyteRain, but this is actually a pretty decent post (excluding possibly the 1st paragraph).

There, took out the first paragraph for you.

Btw, I'll probably vote for your guy Johnson.
