OK so I was incredibly bored, so I thought I'd throw a poll together on who the best vice-president-who-never-became-president was.  I figured it would only take about 5 minutes to do.

I was wrong.  It took a little longer than 5 minutes, let me tell you.

Some of these guys I've never even heard of.

Anyway, my vote goes for John Nance Garner, who described the office of the vice presidency as being "not worth a bucket of warm piss", and that his decision to take it in the first place was "the worst damn fool mistake I ever made."  What a guy.

Now come on people: nobody goes to this much effort for absolutely no reason for no reward.  Get your votes in, and I promise I'll get myself a life someday soon.  I promise.

Joe.

I voted for Rockefeller, one of my favorites!

However Cheney isn't as bad as some make him out to be...

Al Gore.

Among the Republicans, Nelson Rockefeller might've taken the party in a better direction.

This just in:

Apparently William R. King, who was Franklin Pierce's VP for 44 days, had a gay relationship with James Buchanan.  Well I'm just shocked, appalled and a little hungry.

Also, it's reported that Schuyler Colfax, who served as Ulysses Grant's VP, had a silly name.

Garner was an isolationist, his presidency would have meant a thousand year Reich.

Agnew, except that he was a crook. Given that fact, I picked Calhoun.

I'd vote for my great ancestor Hannibal Hamlin.

Humphrey comes in second.
