Democrats: someone who 1) is not a liberal. 2)Someone who doesn't flip-flop or waffle. 3)Someone who isn't incredibly boring. 4)Someone who didn't marry a freakshow. 5) Probably, a westerner (Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico) are possible states to pick up. Mondale fails 1. Dukakis fails 1. Bill Clinton fails 2 and 4. Gore fails 1, 3, and 4. John Kerry fails 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Libertarians: 1)Someone who will keep their base, as well as pick up new voters. 2)Someone very charismatic and able to reach people. 3) Someone to pick up first time voters, or those who are sick of the "two evil" candidates and are willing to try something new. 4) Rich. 5)Possibly a celebrity candidate, although it's equally as much a liability. 6) Electoral votes 7)We might win before hell freezes over, but it will probably be after pigs fly.
