You knew it was coming, here it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=o2ZjHJqqu9E

And aww, look a whole website created to show the "real truth" about Rick Santorum.

http://www.rickfacts.com/

Romney's strategy seems to present Santorum as a big spending, Washington insider who LOVES earmarks.

Will Romney's assault work against Santorum as it did against Gingrich?

I think this could be a lose-lose situation for Romney:

1. Romney's attack on Santorum, (who has a high approval rating) will backfire and voters will only support Santorum more.
2. Romney will focus so much on Santorum that Santorum's approval will decrease, which causes Gingrich's support to rise up silently because Romney forgot about him.

It was much easier to destroy Newt (soooo much baggage)  than it will be it will be to destroy Santorum ( at least among Republicans).

Still using that disingenuous attack on Santorum's stance on felon voting, eh? That's ok, Mitt. Keep pushing people away.

Santorum has very high approvals that can be impacted by this; Romney's probably couldn't fall too much more in the GOP base; and Romney probably only has to make up a few points.  I doubt this race is going to go much of anywhere once Romney's moneybomb happens, but that's just my intuition.

One, Romney has nothing to do with this Super PAC.

Two, this Super PAC is taking it light on Santorum.

Three, if this is ineffective it will get much worse. Santorum is a fiscally counterfeit conservative. He is simply a socially conservative version of Obama: Another big spender from Washington, DC. You foot the bill while he does the wasting. Given his support of the "Bridge to Nowhere" and his past hobnobbing with union stooges, alongside his best buddy Arlen Spectre (The Original RINO™), it is clear that Santorum will do whatever is politically expedient in the realm of economics. He does not believe in fiscal conservatism. In fact, he does not know anything about economics as evidenced by his "manufacturing" lies. In other words, Santorum could possibly choose raising taxes over cutting big government programs of a socially conservative bent.

Finally, the only thing Santorum has ever been in charge of was his Senate office. Most of you know people in business who have more executive experience than Mr. Sanatorium.

The only reason I would like to see Santorum as the nominee is so I could laugh while Obama kicks Santorum's sorry butt from one end of the country to the other.

Thank you, Phil. Are you jealous that Romney's backers have created another Super PAC while poor Ricky has to mostly rely upon union stooges to help orchestrate another "Operation Backdoor" in Michigan?

Don't worry; Obama will kick Romney's butt too. Smiley

Mitt Romney is a disgusting hateful, venal, desperate, powerlust-stricken little man.

Rick Santorum is many of these things as well, but it's less blatantly obvious in everything he does.

I guess Romney is running on the fact that he was beaten decisively by Ted Kennedy for the Senate in 1994. The wannabe Washington insider is now running as the outsider. Romney knows no shame.

I don't understand why anybody would be jealous about that, since unions are what they are, and SuperPACs are what they are. It's exactly the same as being jealous of a man who got rich by driving others into penury--which, come to think of it...wait...

That ad was probably about a 3/10 as far as effective negative ads go. If that's as good as Romney can do he'll probably hurt himself more than Santorum.

What Romney needs to do is find a way to make a point of this:

Mitt, you actually now have to give a reason for people to vote for you.

Simply going negative isn't going to work.

Then Santorum should show a county map of MA in 1994 or what it would have been in 2006.

Believe it or not, Politico, not everyone has a problem with a pro-labor voting record.
