A new Honolulu Star Advertiser poll in Hawaii shows Rep. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) has a big lead in the Demo­cratic primary for U.S. Senate opening an early double-digit gap over former Rep. Ed Case (D-HI), 56% to 36%.

Hirono also leads Lingle by 57-37 in the General.

How can you trust any Hawaiian polls? That Hirono lead over Lingle seems a tad inflated- since October it has never been more than 6.

It's theoretically a possible pickup, but with a favorite son on the ballot it's likely D at worst.
