Yeah, someone whose father was governor over 10 years previously and managed to win the least prestigious statewide office after losing the gubernatorial primary to an idiot really sounds like a way more formidable candidate than a two-term incumbent senator or a man serving as what is essentially mayor of an urban area that comprises 2/3rds of the state's population.

Also, a two-term incumbent senator sounds like a way less formidable candidate than a woman who made her living saying she used to be a witch on Bill Maher's talk show.

Uh...the Casey's are still legendary. Using your logic, Bill Clinton couldn't be a legend in Arkansas because he was Governor several decades ago. And he lost to someone who (smartly) ran to the left in a Democratic primary and was from the Democratic base of the state.

Well Ann Coulter agrees with O'Donnell that Rick is more liberal than Mittens on balance, so case closed. Maybe I should reconsider Rick. Tongue

As soon as you said "Ann Coulter agrees" I knew that whatever came next would be completely irrelevant and totally idiotic.

Good example.  Chelsea Clinton might do slightly better than your average Democrat down in the Crystal Meth State, but only slightly.  It's her father who's the "legend."

What the heck is this thing about Casey's hair, or rather the lack thereof?

I think we need someone to do a BRTD type signature:

The individuals pictured below are BALD:

(Mr. Clean) (Michael Jordan) (Bob Casey, Jr.)

Done.

Bald guys are viewed more favorably than witches. Santorum is not a witch, so he can't use that excuse for losing to a bald guy.

But the question is:  Is Sarah Marie a witch?

I believe this question is yet to be answered.

No, but she reportedly plays with Voodoo dolls.

No, but she reportedly plays with Voodoo dolls.

That's preferable than playing with you-know-what like you.

So being the County Executive of the county which makes up 2/3rds of the state's population now qualifies as being a "nobody?"  Whereas a failed former gubernatorial candidate now is a "state legend?"

Casey has a legendary name in PA politics.

Here's what I've gathered from this thread:

  • Politico believes that lack of hair plays a factor in electability
  • People are arguing whether Bob Casey is a PA legend
  • Nobody has talked about Christine O'Donnell's specific quote
  • I felt my IQ drop while reading this
Okay.
