I'm going to bed, it is 2 am.

God bless the Cain Train, God bless Dr. Congressman Ron Paul and the Ron Paul Rloveution and their mighty victory today, God Bless our Champion Newt Gingrich, God Damn Governor Morman Romney and his Morman gods, and God bless all of you.

So they're actually hand counting every ballot, even though (presumably) each precinct already did their own count and phoned it in?  Didn't Iowa just rely on the phoned in counts from each precinct, and then didn't bother with doing a recount until certification, which took two weeks?  Why didn't they just do that here?  It's not like there was ever much danger of a switch in the winner of the caucus, like there was in Iowa.

The only feasible explanation I can see is that they tried that method, felt that people were screwing up results reporting, and spontaneously decided to centralize counting...it would also explain why they seem like they have like six vote counters for the entire damn county.

There are actually professionals who sit down and write articles on how to count votes quickly and accurately.

The unemployment rate is 13%, so they could have probably gotten some temps pretty fast if they needed to.

It seems the CNN poll says that all of Clark County is left to count and if it is counted Romney finishes above 50%. That's all I need to know (for my prediction).

Well, probably. Yeah, estimating from the entrance poll gives
Romney 53
Gingrich 19
Paul 18
Santorum 9

Of course Paul could still beat Gingrich.

Honestly, considering some of these caucuses took place like twelve hours before they started releasing results, there's really no reason why they shouldn't have had at least a fair amount of them counted and ready to be released by the time the Magic Jew Caucus began.

So far this thread is the only place (that Google knows of) on the Internet that uses "Magic Jew Caucus".

Maybe if the NVGOP wouldn't cut into our education here their workers would be able to count higher than 10.

Because the caucus was magical: an election being held after the winner has already been announced! a caucus appearing out of thin air, in a time and space it should never have been!

They actually replaced the lost results with votes for People Magazine's "Top 100 Sitcoms of the Last 50 Years," which explains Rick Santorum's surprise loss there to The King of Queens.

Nevada GOP says they won't release anymore numbers from Clark County until they're done counting the entire county's tally, and that'll probably take until sunrise:

NVGOP now appear to be clarifying the locations of the Washoe precincts they already released, for god knows what reason and who the hell cares.  Which presumably means they're holding onto Clark a bit longer...?

Like I said in my last post, it looks like they're recounting everything in Clark by hand, and will not give us anything more until "sunrise".

And it appears to be officials in Clark who are doing this, so it's unrelated to whatever is happening with the results in Washoe.
