"What we saw with this ridiculous opposition dump on Newt was nothing short of Stalin-esque rewriting of history. It was Alinsky tactics at their worst."

Nothing short of Palin-esque rewriting of history. Bachmann tactics at their worst.

Did Palin know who Alinsky was before she heard Gingrich use the name?

Of course not. She probably thinks Alinsky was one of Stalin's henchmen in the USSR. Of course, she only has a vague idea of who Stalin was.

For Sayrah Paylin, Stalin was a liberal-socialistic Saul Alinsky/Weather Underground gotcha media Muslim atheist bad guy.

This is a reminder that, as awful as the Republican field is, it could have been worse.

That's FALSE. She could see Stalin from her home in Alaska.

I'm sure she did.  Alinksy has been a folk villain for the right for a few years.  Rush and Hannity started talking about him in the 08 campaign. I think they got it from David Horowitz.

That Facebook note is the subject of my column tomorrow.  Her citing Alinsky tactics against Gingrich is ironic, since her whole theme was "The GOP establishment is trying to kill Newt's chances".  So she's accusing the establishment of rebelling against the establishment.

Well not solely her Facebook note.  The whole establishment vs. Tea Party mentality.
