Gingrich surge or Romney collapse?  Gingrich has no ties to Minnesota; politically, Minnesota is much like Michigan (the state in which Romney was born) except for having a far smaller percentage of African-Americans (who won't figure heavily in a Republican primary in Minnesota anyway).

Good showing for Paul. I think he'll win the state.

I wouldn't really say that Minnesota is politically or demographically that much like Michigan...

Who is your second choice for President?
Newt Gingrich ................................................. 16%
Ron Paul ......................................................... 10%
Mitt Romney.................................................... 16%
Rick Santorum................................................ 21%
Not surprising, considering Romney and Gingrich have been destroying each other.

Further proof of why Santorum should stay in this race.

Santorum is pretty strong in this poll. That said, the caucus probably won't look anything like this.

Yeah, aren't caucuses that aren't Iowa basically impossible to poll?

Yes. Granted there was little polling of non-Iowa caucuses in 2008 and a lot of it was done by mediocre firms, but it was still inaccurate that it was essentially useless.

The last poll in MN's GOP caucus, for example, was:

McCain 41%
Huckabee 22%
Romney 17%
Giuliani 6%
Paul 5%

While the actual caucus result was:

Romney 41%
McCain 22%
Huckabee 20%
Paul 16%

Er, yeah, not that much at all.  (Thankfully for my political sanity.)

Republicans in Minnesota with 60% favorable of Newt?  That's either horsesh** or MN is an epic HP.

^^^^^^^^
Not that Banchmann could ever win a statewide race, but MN is easily one of the most polarized states. It's not like Upstate NY with moderate Republicans or Arkansas with the Blue Dogs. They have the first Muslim in Congress and they have Bachmann. And it's not even a racial thing. Almost everybody is white. Go figure.
