Now that the concensus is that Romney will be the nominee, its time for one of these.

I guess everybody who wants to vote for Obama doesn't need to bother voting for Obama because clearly he is going to win. In other words, don't bother going out to vote Tongue

Wonder how many of you guys don't vote.

I don't make it a habit.

Obama will win though, without my support.

I can't vote, obviously, but I expect Obama will win. Farily comfortably, too.

Feel free to bump this post if I'm proved hilariously wrong, incidentally.

Working for Obama's campaign/Obama is going to win

Romney is going to be obliterated in every single debate. His narrative has nothing to stand on and his record as a "businessman" will disgust most of the public who has a natural distrust of wall street-style maneuvering.

I'm probably not gonna vote, because voting is irrational, but as long as there's not some random economic catastrophe, Obama should win pretty handily.

If that truly is the selection our overlords have come up with, other/Romney.

No it isn't. (And this is staying with the ambit of formal decision theory and not going all Gully Foyle.) The original demonstration of this is from Parfit's Reasons and Persons; the same argument (basically) is made in "Voting as a Rational Choice" by Edlin, Gelman & Kaplan, in Rationality and Society 2007. (This is the same Gelman of Red State, Blue State.) as well as in a paper from the late '80's called "Egotistic Rationality and Public Choice" by John Quiggin (whom you might know if you read Crooked Timber).

Still undecided.  Expected result by economic conditions:

Status Quo Economy

New Recession >9.0% Unemployment

"Yes We Did" <7.5% Unemployment

Unpopular Republican governors of Midwest will drag Mittens down, although he has a shot to win, if he puts McDonnell or Corbett as running-mates. Even with a Greek default, Obama gets enough strength to assure a 2nd term, winning a 300+ EV.

If that truly is the selection our overlords have come up with, other/Romney.

Gary Johnson looks like the candidate that shares the views most similar to yours and get elected on the Libertarian ticket.
