I've enjoyed those bad late night B movies where the malformed hillbillies chase, capture, torture and cannibalize the citified passersby.  I generally prefer those of this genre set in West Virginia to those set in the desert West.

I live almost right along the border of WV. It is a perfectly fine state for the most part and doesn't deserve it's reputation.

I went on a college visit to WVU in Morgantown and LOVED IT! I'm prob. going to college there!

I also visited a town in the "rednecky" part and loved it to.


WV is awesome Smiley

Im looking into WVU as well. My family is from the state. It's a little early, I still have 4 years to go Wink

WV is the most unfairly targeted state in the country.

A mixed bag. People there, from what I understand, are better economic populists than most Americans. But there's also a not too subtle current of right-wing Protestantism in the state.

I'm sure most people there are good people, you can't judge a whole state, every person is different, yadda yadda...

A great state! My grandfather was from there.

Ideologically, I probably fit best into WV than any other state.
