Btw, this was made by a Newt PAC so maybe there is some hope that this primary season will be thrilling even if short.

Tea Partiers are totally going to flock to Newt for using a Democratic talking point pioneered by Ted Kennedy 18 years ago.

Yeah. I guess he isn't melting in Romney's presence like he did in Bubba's...

This is exactly why I roll my eyes at people that think Romney is some sort of slam dunk against Obama and that he doesn't have serious electability issues. See what Newt is doing? Multiple that by a hundred and you have the Obama campaign against this guy.

100% agreed...just add that theses ads will all be played in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennslyvania and Wisconsin.

Better the devil you know than the devil you dont.

Romney's going to get absolutely destroyed on this issue. The question is whether it'll happen now, before he wins the primary, or in the summer and the fall.

Wow. Now that is an attack ad. I have about equal distaste for Mitt and Newt, but I have to hand it to Newt's people, this is good.

I would like nothing better than for Romney to come out of the primaries and caucuses bent and bleeding from a thousand cuts inflicted by his rivals -if they would only just concentrate their energies on him as opposed to each other.  He will find that his winning the nomination will have proven to be but a pyrrhic victory.   With any luck, the economic recovery will be widely felt by the time he makes his acceptance speech.

Now, of course, we could all afford to take a step back and remind ourselves that Newt is likewise a slimeball.

With the sole exception of Huntsman, they are all slimeballs and I heartily despise them.

Ha, that is great. So Newt is writing Obama's general election ads for him. Awesome.

I wonder why McCain didn't make a bigger deal of this? I mean I suppose he didn't have to in the end but it still seems weird to pass up...

There's a little black spot on the sun today
It's the same campaign as yesterday
There's a Newt sticker caught in a high tree top
There's a flag that says, "Ron Paul, please STOP!"

I have stood here  before, inside the pouring rain
With my positions turning circles, running round my brain
I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign
But it's my destiny to be the King of Bain....

Applying the same logic used by Mitt's supporters against Newt insisting on a civil campaign, the former governor beds to learn how to field these curve balls. Obama, whose whole strategy is based on class warfare, will use these stories, along with many more fictional ones, to destroy Romney. We will see if Romney has what it takes to stand these kind of attacks.

Machiavelli warned that one must leave his enemy completely dead, or that enemy will come back for revenge. Romney made the mistake of leasing with Newt without completely destroying the Speaker's campaign.

Maybe not, but they've got to be worried about the fact that anyone with a functioning brain cell can immediately see that Romney is no populist.

Politico is reporting that Newt's SuperPAC is dropping $3.4 in anti-Romney/Bain corp raider ads in SC. This is the first big anti-Romney ad buy.

Lets see if they can stop him.

The problem is that Santorum will still be in the race, splitting the vote with Gingrich.

And then there is Ron Paul and RIck Perry. Do they spend money going after Gingrich or Santorum, or Romney?

Because it's a desperate reach that does not work. How do you think Romney became Governor of Massachusetts?
