I was looking at Wikipedia and some sources have him January 8, 1984 (though nobody is sure whether it is 1983 or 1984.)  I would be 8 1/2 or 20 1/2 months his senior.

Holy smokes!  I'm old enough to be a dictator. That just makes me feel like even more failure because I'm nowhere close to accomplishing that

Gaddafi was 27 when he took power and I don't think he's even the youngest non-monarchial dictator in history, there was a brief period when Sierra Leone was ran by a military junta headed by a 25-year old. Yeah I'm old enough to be a dictator too.

In the Old Testament of the Bible, there was a King of Judah - (Josiah, I believe), who took power when he was 8 years old.  Wasn't King Tut of Egypt real young when he took power?

I'm probably not too far away from bifocals, myself, and I'm still 3 1/2 months from my 30th birthday.  My eyesight is getting to where it is more and more difficult switching from near objects to far objects.
