How come Marsha Blackburn was never given any consideration for the presidency? She's a relatively attractive, conservative woman. She'd probably do much better than Bachmann (and she's clearly smarter).

Because she has common sense and knows that congresswomen don't win presidential elections.

She is definitely a dark horse pick for the Vice Presidency. If Romney wants a geographic balance on the ticket, don't be surprised if her name starts to be seriously talked about as his VP choice. Presidency however would be an incredibly difficult jump and she probably recognizes that. She would be doing much better than Bachmann though if she ran since she is an actual policy wonk and knows more than generic talking points.

Honestly, I think Bachmann's main appeal is the crazy factor, combined with the revulsion she elicits from liberals.
