Easily the best non-North American, non-Brit hard rock band.

(I added the "North" part to American because one could make a damn good case for Rush, even though I'm less of a fan)

Depends heavily on what era we're talking about. Positive overall.

The first AC/DC album was mind blowing.  And then they decided to release the same album 20 more times.

Interpret that as you will.

Really?  Seems to me they sound pretty much the exact same now as they did 1977.  That's not necessarily a bad thing.  And who doesn't love Back in Black?  Communists and Nancys, that's who.

Today?--HB. They really need to retire.  I saw them during the Black Ice Tour when I was 12 and liked it, but now I think their songs are just cliche and kinda cheesy. FB in their hayday, and are obviously talented.

They're of relatively average talent, and many of their songs have become rock station hits that are on every single time you get in the car, which can lead to some annoyance.  In short, one could occupy his time with much better music.

I much prefer their Bon Scott era stuff. Though I am partial to one Brian Johnson era album though: Black in Black.

They sound to me like they have less energy now. I also daresay that they used a drum fill maybe once per album back in the late 1970s.

Well to be honest I haven't really listened to that much of the "newer" stuff and by that I mean anything after Who Made Who...why yes, that was in the mid 80s.  When an AC/DC song I've never heard before comes on the radio you just know it's AC/DC (or one of those bands that's going out of their way to sound as much like them as possible, I'm looking at you Jackyl).

Easily the best non-North American, non-Brit hard rock band.

(I added the "North" part to American because one could make a damn good case for Rush, even though I'm less of a fan)

I can't stand Rush because the vocals are soooooooooooo bad, and their fans are usually such douchebags. In fact I think this sums up the typical Rush fan pretty well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eubi9YI2dKE

Yeah good metal music.  Not sh*tty as hell "death" metal or whatever the f*** they call it like the hyperlink you provided where the guy is screaming "CREAMYPEBBLEPUFFS!" over and over in a voice that sounds like some Sci-Fi monster having sex with the devil.

Believe it or not there is a difference between this and what you posted earlier.

About 30 seconds in the guitar work started annoying the f**k out of me. It got worse around 1:15. Once the vox kicked in it was unbearable.

You should listen to stuff with melody and good songwriting, not guitar wankery and awful vox (the vox in both of those songs are WAY better than either Rush or Megadeth and are far from just "mindless screaming" or whatever.)
