An interesting and telling footnote in these numbers. Gingrich's unfavorabilty numbers have been cut in half to only 22% since September. It's not uncommon for a candidate breaking out of the pack like Bachmann, Perry, or Cain to see their "no opinion" numbers drop while their favorability rating increases notably, with maybe a rise in unfavorables (hopefully kept small, but that requirement hasn't been sustained for the long haul by any anti-Romney alternative thus far). An actual serious drop in unfavorables for any candidate, particularly one as well known and historied as Gingrich, is potentially a crucial tipping point. It demonstrates GOP voters are serious about looking past Newt's flaws and baggage to give him serious consideration.
