Though Newt Gingrich has risen to the top of the polls, I believe that him like all the rest will ultimately implode. While he could pull an upset in Iowa I think this race is ultimately going to come down to: Romney and Perry. They both have the money needed for the long haul and it seems in spite of the recent debate flubs Perry is trying to reposition himself.

Now I could be completely off on this prediction, but I think this race would always come down to Perry and Romney.

At this point you still think Perry has a chance?

Sure.  For three reasons:  He's handsome.  He's rich.  And, ah, he's...

Sorry, I can't remember what the third reason is.

Yeah. I do believe Romney will be the nominee, but I think underestimating Perry would be a mistake, in spite of the flubs,

When Perry entered the race I believed that and wrote posts on here about the danger of underestimating him.  But I too have been rethinking.  I think I was wrong.  I over estimated Perry.

The primaries will be a contest between Mitt and Newt.

You must be one of those contrarians....soon as Newt goes up, you don't support him, you have to be in the minority

I'm supporting Mitt, but I'm looking at who presents the biggest challenge and I still think it's Perry.

you need to rethink your support for Mitt, and you need to rethink your rethinking on Perry being a challenge to anyone.
