Didn't Obama had a lower approval in the last Reuters poll yet led Romney?

Yeah, the article says the approval is up from 47% in the last poll and he led Romney by 6.

Which makes this poll a bit strange, because Obama's vote share is usually closely tied or higher than his approval.

looks as if we can say with a pretty solid degree of confidence that Cain has slipped from his peak

What other evidence is there of that so far beyond this poll?

If you average the three post Cain harassment polls (Rasmussen, ABC, Reuters) you get...

Romney   25.7
Cain   24.3
Perry   12.3
Gingrich   11.3
Paul   7.7
Bachmann   3.3
Huntsman   1.3
Santorum   0.7

So not a collapse for Cain, but some downward movement for him and upward for Romney (and Perry) vs. polls from before 10/31. But its only 3 polls so not enough of a trend yet. I don't think we will know how much (or little) the Cain harassment thing has effected the race until the end of the month.

The last Reuters/Ipsos poll also showed a Romney lead, while two polls released on the same day showed Cain leads.

Good to see continued increase in the President's approval though.

Does it seem to anyone else that they might've undersampled conservatives, giving Obama and Romney relative boosts?
