I kinda just wanted to get this out there.

Despite mumbles to the contrary, Elaine Marshall (65) is seeking another term.

Here she was speaking at Occupy Raliegh.

I think she's kinda in the same boat as Jack Conway; despite a disappointing Senate run last year, its hard to see her losing her current office.

What statewide offices could be competitive next year besides governor? If Perdue loses, will she take some other Dems down with her?

Cooper and Marshall won by the widest margins in 2008. All the others were within 8 points.

AG: Cooper-61/39
SOS: Marshall-57/43
Lt. Gov: Dalton- 51/46
Treas: Cowell- 54/46
Aud: Wood- 54/46
Ins. Comm: Goodwin- 52/45

I could see Perdue possibly dragging down Dalton, but I think the others are pretty good campaigners.
