Special Report With Brit Hume

Brit:
This just in.  Former Gov. and Presidential Contender Chris Supersoulty has announce that he will once again seek the nomination of his party to take on President Nym in the June election.  He will be making some statements later on this evening.

Our latest Fox/Oppinion Dynamics poll shows that Gov. Supersoulty is still seen favoribly by a majority of Americans.  55% have a favorible opinion.  35% unfavorible.

When asked if they would vote for Gov. Supersoulty in the primaries, 40% of Republicans said they were at least leaning towards voting for him.  It's a long way out and things are subject to change in the next few months, but if this treand hold we could be seeing a Feb. redux.

I have much respect for you Gov. Soult, and you are the Republican that I think can take it to President Nyman.

I hope I get on a ticket this year. But I don't care as long as the forum has a good leader.

FoxNews

Commentator:  We now go live to Erie, PA where former gov. Chris Supersoulty is making his announcement in Perry Square.  Let's listen.

(Me at podium with raincoat on.  Throngs of supporters holding up old Supersoulty/Demrepdan signs in front of me.  Crowd finally calms down.)

Thank You.  I have caled this gathering tonight to officailly announce that it is stuffed French Toast day down at the IHOP.

(laughter)

Seriously, I am hear to announce that I will once again seek the nomination for the Presidency of the United States.

(cheering)

The theme of this campaign will be "Solid Leadership in Trying Times" and these are trying times for our nation.  As I lookout at America today, I see a nation in a state of chaos and lawlessness.  I see an Administration without a plan.  I see a nation, let down.

Don't get me wrong, President Nym is a great guy and a good freind, but he has failed in his promises to lead us into the future.  I swear to you tonight, as I swore to you at the convention hall in Chicago, if elected I will pick-up the tourch, I will lift our nation up, I will lead America into the future.

(cheers)

So people may question my credibilty.  I admit, that my announcement that I would not run again was a bit hasty.  When I made it I had intended to follow through on it, but as time wore on and we all saw where we were headed, I came to the understanding that I could not sit back idelly watch the promise of our great nation deteriorate.  I remembered the commitments that I had made that fateful night in Chicago and I resolved that I would follow through onthose commitments.   The battle for the nomination and the presidency will not be an easy one, but that is a battle that I am willing to fight and I ask you to join me in the struggle for this future of our nation.

I thank you all for coming out to support me.  Good night and God Bless America.

(applause)

YAY! I am happy to see the GOP having some good candidates in the field. I was hoping for John, but alas. Grin

New GusNews poll:

Since it seems like every member of the Republican party is running for president, it's right now a tie!

OK, but you haven't declared a preference, so it's still a tie. Wink

I have not and will not, as Chairman I think it is very important that I don't have a bias favor for anyone at this point...
