that what pundits dont understand, and that's why pundits, both on the left and on the right, are underestimating Cain's staying power.

Oh those poor SOB's, now they have to choose between a guy they seem to hate (Romney), Obama, or a third party candidate, to stop Herman Cain from entering the white house.

He supports TARP, worked for the Federal Reserve, and was very supportive of George W. Bush's policies during his 2004 Senate run. Next.

I don't believe that any of the candidates qualify as "anti-establishment".

Paul/Johnson?

Paul has spent more than 20 years all together in the Congress and, while he talks a good game about fiscal conservatism, shoves pork into bills he knows will pass no matter what, his support or not. He can hardly be called "anti-establishment".

Johnson, maybe.

...he's also the anti-establishment candidate.
And as this is the GOP primary, we might as well write him off.

Are you going to claim that every candidate besides Romney or Paul who gets a boost from media attention is the anti-Romney, anti-establishment candidate?

Well yeah, that's the point of earmarks. If it isn't going to his district it goes to something objectionable like buying bombs to drop in Pakistan or giving out corporate welfare.

I am still in shock over this Herman Cain thing. Nothing about it makes sense. The GOP just woke up one morning and arbitrarily decided this was their guy?

This isn't really worthy of a new thread, but Cain's answer at about the 16 second mark here is classic:

If Cain wins, he may have just poisoned relations with Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan.
