Rather amusingly (?) I had the 'Boy, Steve Jobs is really, seriously ill' conversation only yesterday or so. Anyway, my condoleances to the family.

Regarding Jobs, this brings up an interesting subject--if he was not sick, do you all think he would have been at least considered as a primary challenge to Obama? He had an amazing talent for business, and inovation, and was much to the left of most CEOs. He had alot of talent, and will be missed Sad

Heard it on the radio.

Completely surprised to hear this. I mean they were even saying on CBS that there was a slight chance he would come back to do the I-phone unveiling yesterday.

Don't try to change the conversation away from vile and repugnant comment.
Alright your all over reacting to a crude and unfunny attemp at a joke. It was directed towards someone else, not Jobs. I hear frequent jokes about the Palin children, Republicans, Libertatians, Socialist, Tea Partiers, Southeners, New Yorkers, Baptists and lets not forget Snowstalkers anti Semitic rant which he made under my name. Get over it. Now onto my second post..

Jobs was a long time Progressive. He has been a renowned and respected leader in the Progressive movement, and had the potential to be another Perot. And lets not forget the way he changed technology forever with Bill Gates. What my second and ignored post means was Jobs was probably the best Leftist President we never got to have. Have any of you heard his speech at Stamford, regarding how he changed Silicon Valley? He could of done that to the country. But he was above politcs, which is something most of are not, and will neever be. RIP.

Definately sad, but why is everybody so surprised? The man had pancreatic cancer. Pretty much the worst cancer to get. Nobody lasts long with it. When he stepped down in August, I thought the situatuon was very clear.

I saw "Jobs dead" somewhere and assumed it was another GOP attack on Obama.

Sad, but definitely expected:

Very sad, but expected.

Jobs was an innovator who got the idea for the Ipod from an episode of ST:TNG.  He was brilliant and humanity has lost a technological guiding light.  Sad

I have no opinion about the man, and so won't comment about him, but naturally the 'lesson' one draws from this generally is that the Big C is also a Great Equalizer.  You may be a king of men - and that is precisely what these rich are - and yet you will inevitably die.

Of course let us keep in mind that every human effort is being brought to bear to make this final leveler unequal as well.
