Republicans only.

You can post your current choice and then who's number two. Christie isn't an option since he's not officially in the race

I'm still sticking with the two Mormons. I really don't like the other candidates much, and some I don't respect at all, and Paul is nutter. If Christie gets in, I will seriously consider him.

If Paul drops out (unlikely) then I would probably support Newt. Johnson's stance on immigration is too much for me.

Paul in first. Ideologically Johnson SHOULD be by far my favourite, but there is just something about him that makes me dislike him, maybe his lack of a spine on particular issues (I believe he was weak on either foreign policy or fiscal policy).

So I have to go with Cain in second. He worked for the Fed, but that isn't as big of an issue for me (some Fed workers ended up being decent anyway, and ending the Fed wouldn't be so useful as ending legal tender altogether and ending it's monopoly). He's said various bigoted things, but I think that's a product of being from Georgia and being fairly open (unlike certain candidates *COUGHROMNEYPERRYCOUGH*). His beliefs aren't that bad, and he doesn't have the huge, unavoidable drawbacks that the others have (Romney being completely malleable and changing beliefs at the drop of a pin; Perry being a massive moron and controlled by large corporations; Bachmann supporting the PATRIOT act and foreign wars; Gingrich's massive flip flops and actions in the 90s; Santorum's general lack of manners and abhorrent views)

As a Paul supporter I would have to go with Johnson. He doesn't go far enough on foreign policy imo but he has by far the best track record of anyone running. I like what Cain says but I don't trust him to follow through on it one bit. Also, he's not ideal to beat Obama.

May I just ask my fellow Paulites, why do you like Newt Gingrich as your second choice?

He has bi-partisan experience and he seems like a decent fella.

Except for that whole cheating on his dying wife thing.

That's very interesting. Paulites liking bipartisanship. I suppose Gary would be the opposite, vetoing anything he doesn't like.

Oops: I'm currently supporting Romney, but if somehow he left the race, I'd support Gingrich, then Cain.

I wish that Jon Huntsman were viable, so I guess there is a tie for my first-favorite between him and Romney.  I guess Rick Perry is my second choice.

Once again, this fact is incorrect. His wife was the one to ask for the divorce, they discussed it before she went to the hospital for benign cancer removal and he went to the hospital to bring the kids to see her.

People really shouldn't base major decisions upon political cartoons

I voted Santorum in this poll under the line of thinking that my preference is Romney-Santorum,  but I don't know who I want.

I'd generally want to stop the GOP from selecting Johnson for sure, and Bachmann, Paul, and Perry.
