It's Sept. 19 and it has 35°F or 1°C here.

And it has about 2 inches of snow here right now and it's still slightly snowing.

Time to plan for Christmas ... Wink

(PS: For the weekend, the weather guy said it would have 25°C (77°F) again, very weird !

Where are you going to ?

It's snowing today in the alpine regions of Vorarlberg, Tirol, Salzburg and Upper Austria. Above 600m of height I have heard.

PS: What do you mean by s**t ? This is great weather ! Smiley

Rather extended trip. A very good friend of mine from Illinois (half Austrian herself, actually) is coming on a Europe trip. And I'm tagging along, so to say.

I'm picking her up in Vienna Airport tomorrow.....so I'll just be on the standard Autobahn route. From Passau over the border....Linz, etc. to Wien.

In the days after that I'll be in Kremsmünster, Salzburg....and Berchtesgaden on the German side. Ending in München after that.

I imagine the Autobahn shouldn't be a problem snow-wise...

I`ve shot a panorama of the conditions outside my house, about 3 hours ago.

As you can see, while the fields nearby are covered in snow, it is still very wet overall and the streets are without snow. It shouldn't be any problem on the Autobahn. Especially not tomorrow, because tomorrow I guess the whole snow will be gone again ... Wink

I would definitely reccommend staying a few hours in Wien or Salzburg with your friend.

Maybe go to Salzburg on the weekend when it's warmer and nicer and then you can go to Bad Reichenhall to the Spa World and then back to München.

Oh yes, certainly. I think I'll be staying in Vienna for two days. Vienna and Munich are my 2 favorite cities in the world.

Some towns have reported snowfall of about 20-40 inches ... Tongue

Rather unusual for Mid-September.
