I've been thinking about writing one of the following timelines:

Dubya dies in 2002: George W. Bush dies after choking on a pretzel in January 2002, leaving the direction of the country in the hands of Dick Cheney and his possible other predecessors.

The Perry Administration: The timeline follows Texas governor Rick Perry's ascension to the presidency in 2012, then his administration and its effect on the country in the future.

America, sans Watergate: The Watergate scandal is never uncovered. Richard Nixon serves his second term in full and is seceded by [insert name of 1976 victor Tongue].

If none of these seem satisfactory, you could make some other suggestions. I'd love to hear them, and I'll certainly take them all under some consideration. Smiley

NOTE: I corrected my spelling mistakes Wink.

Either Dubya or Watergate. The Rick Perry TL would be interesting, but runs the risk of appearing inaccurate in retrospect.

Whenever you post, there's an option "speel check", on the right to "preview".

We have enough of those. What about a EMK timeline, nobody covers him.

This.

And:
We have enough of those. What about a EMK timeline, nobody covers him.
This. Not one where Reagan or Ford wins in 1976, or one where there's no Watergate. What I'd find most interesting in a Teddy Kennedy tl would be one where he wins the nomination from Carter in 1980 and goes on to beat the Republican narrowly. Hopefully not turning into one of those "Democrats get sixteen years in a row!" things (you know who you are), but an interesting eight years.

As for Bobby, everyone likes to cover him 'cause he died, plus 'twould seem he doesn't fit the normal liberal stereotype which makes him more interesting in retrospect.

So yeah, Dubya choking would make for one interesting tl.

We had a lot of "No Watergate" scenarios.

Dubya dies in 2002, please.

And, please, no more Kennedys...

Why do you all refer to George W Bush as "dubya?"

Southern sounding version of "W". "doubleyou" becomes "dubya". When I myself first read it, I thought it was pronounced "doo-buy-uh", and I had to spell it to someone else to get that it meant "W".

Preschool, elementary school. They refer to him as "President Bush."

He's "dabeuliou" here in France (and even this isn't too much used), so it also took me some time to get it. Grin
