They fought against slavery too in their spare time, which proves how clever these indefatigable multi-taskers  really were, since 3 (WJM) of the six pack (WJMAFH) actually owned them (and one was an actual affirmative villain on the subject - do you know which one?). I wonder if Bachmann could name the six pack if asked.  I bet not!  The one she did name was not only not a member of the six pack, he was not even a founder.

They also aren't threatening allied nations and then there's the whole Democratic Peace phenomenon....not really an equivalent comparison.

Russia is a vastly diminished threat that will soon become much more so due to their demographic death spiral, but they are clearly a threat to many of our strategic interests nonetheless.

This particular gaffe is not that big, and certainly no bigger than some of the speaking gaffes Obama and Biden have made.  Its a non-story.
