Any polls for Kentucky?

I know McCain won it by double digits last time, but from the way everybody in Kentucky is talking lately, I'd have to think Obama is going to wipe the floor with the GOP this time.

I have yet to meet anyone who is even remotely pleased with the Republican field. At all.

Gallup has his approval there at 37/55; KY is one of his worst states.

I wish KY would return to its roots and vote Democratic in a Presidential election. Sadly, with Obama, I dob't think that will happen Sad

I don't see Obama winning Kentucky. Maybe if Bachmann were the nominee. It would be different if the economy rebounded.

I thought back in '08 that the economy would be good by this time and places that would've been in play if Joe Biden or John Edwards (preaffair) were the nominee would go for Obama in '12 like Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky and West Virginia because Obama would have allayed the racial fear and proven himself to the rural democrats who voted McCain and Arizona because its Native son wasn't on the ticket. Or if he were really the visionary I thought he'd be there would be a Barlettesque victory lumping in Alabama, Louisiana, Montana and the Dakotas but now I'm wondering if he'll carry Pennsylvania...

Populist3,

'kinda off-topic but, how are people there responding to Allison Lundergan Grimes?

I'm very impressed with her. I've been following her on Facebook and it seems like her campaign is going well.

Arkansas, Kentucky and West Virginia

Maybe after Obama, Dems could seriously compete in those states with a....white...candidate.

They're all Democratic states.

I don't hear much about her. But Bill Johnson is considered a complete joke.

How long will it take for the precincts in New America to report results on election night, Bandit?

Not very, because we already know we're not voting for the stinking Republican.

Very true. And non-jewish. I definitely think Lieberman cost Gore WV in 2000. Any Feingold 2016 fantasies can't have him carry it and honestly I don't see WV or KY voting for an Italian either, so Cuomo's out.

If the networks get ready to call Kentucky for the Republican before New America reports, will you give them the "Trouble Scowl?"

Kentucky elected an Italian-American as its Lt. Gov., and now it's about to elect a Jew.

Was that before or after "one of Saddam's sons" won the position?

Yes, against opponents that would play well in the state on social issues during a horrible economy, Obama would absolutely win the state.

Interesting how all of these worthless Blue Dogs went down while a progressive, John Yarmuth, got re-elected in a swing district in Kentucky.

Here's what Yarmuth has to say about Obama.

Sarah Palin is the only candidate that would lose states like Kentucky.

Kentucky will be about 59-40 for the Republican next year, especially with Rick Perry on the ticket. With some other candidates like Romney or Bachmann, the margin could be about 2-3% closer. But let's wait for a SurveyUSA poll out of the state.

Not a chance in hell Perry does better than Romney.

They're all crazy, just different types. For example, Romney is a crazy flip-flopper who likes strapping dogs to roofs of vehicles.
