Some sort of explosion in Oslo, damaging numerous governmental offices, including the PM's office.  Energy Ministry is on fire. (Fox)

They say there was a car "twisted" on the street.  It could have been something like a gas main going, but I doubt it.

MSNBC and CNN strike out.  Fox hit a home run.

Just saw this. Horrible.

I don't think they have any McVeighs in Norway. They do have violent Black Metal people though. Tongue

Very early to tell who might have done this, but my money would be on islamist terror. There are many Somali immigrants in Oslo and Somalia is a bit of a base for international terrorism.

Norway doesn't really have any violent internal movements, at least not that I'm aware of (apart from the above mentioned Metal people...)

Yes. It just went from 1 dead to "several" I suspect it might continue up. The police think there might be more bombs and have warned people from being in the area. The pictures are just awful. Utter devastation.

Confirmed by Oslo Police as a bomb (the city doesn't have pumped natural gas); at least two deaths reported.

Good thing it's a holiday time; it's bad enough as is.
