Massachusetts: 12/12, since I can tell Franklin from Hampshire from Hampden.

I fall down with the Sierra foothill and NE corner counties, so maybe around 45 of the 58 CA counties perhaps.  I can name all the SoCal counties though.  Tongue

I wonder if Sam Spade can identify all 254 Texas counties.  He claims he knows the state like the back of his hand. Smiley

Erie
Allegheny
Lackawanna
Wyoming
Greene
Fayette
Washington
Beaver
Cumberland

Pike
Crawford
Cambria
Elk
Forest

Dauphin
Schuykill
Indiana
Westmoreland

So, 32/67.

States I've lived in:

All in Massachusetts
All in Vermont
All in New Jersey

Most downstate/lower Hudson counties in New York, all but a couple in Connecticut and New Hampshire, all in Rhode Island (which is insanely easy), the southeast ones in Pennsylvania, all in Delaware (again, insanely easy).

I can name all of the counties in Washington pretty easily. I can do all of a couple of other states too (eg California, Arizona, small New England states, etc).

I did 198, with 7 misses, and 49 skips.  I think with a list, I could probably do about 230-240.

Other than getting Franklin and Morris reversed, the south-easternmost county missed was Hamilton

I find the best way to do this is to get a blank county map, copy it to Paint and fill them in as you go along.

Around 10 on 80-something.

Quebec has silly counties, whose borders are often changing and often have silly names or long names with hyphen.

I could probably get more than 10 in Quebec. They're not all silly Wink

All, of course. There are just 26 (not that they're called "counties", of course.)

Both of the ones that matter, and about three or four of the vast, empty ones.
