I'm interested to see how many participated in this week's festivities and still wrote in Rick Perry

I saw 6:15

I've been gone for a couple of hours, has everyone gone? I left with McCotter beginning his speech

Lots of speculation that Paul may be the winner Smiley

If this is true, with 17,000 cast, will this make it harder for us to throw it out as just another Paul straw Poll victory?

Being Ames, it only matters if the unexpected wins. Paul, Bachmann, T-Paw, and Cain are not one of those

Can we get some speculation/analysis in this thread from a non-hack who isn't backing a particular candidate?

Can we get some speculation/analysis in this thread from a non-hack who has no interest in who wins?

So who is going to win?

I'm thinking Bachmann will probably win now with Paul in a strong second. Will Pawlenty even make the Top 3?

By following Thaddeus, you no longer have any need for worldly possessions like hair.  Or Medicare.

Everything is Thaddeus.  Thaddeus is everything.

Thaddeus.

The only thing I can be of certain, noting the large uncertainties a thing like this has, that having grown up in Iowa and all, that the most likely person to of won this super early contest that is a limited scope popularity contest is probably a Republican. That person might also be from planet Earth, but it might be to soon to assume that.

In tweeter people are saying Bachmann has won this. But only "God" knows.

Oh, and Paul's saying he expects to get+5000 votes. Do you think it's possible?

High turnout means a lot of grassroots motivation and organization. This means performing strongly here will be even more important than most years.

from @daveweigel Paul campaign also sez 92% of the people who registered online w/ them for the straw poll showed up. So he's at least at 28%.

I think there was a lot of movement away from non-contenders to the big three in attendance of Bachmann, Romney, and Paul.  It could be likely that Paul received 5k votes and still lost.
