The race will depend entirely on which way the wind blows. Expect a nail-biter even in a good year for the Democrats.

I think another big question is whether the Republicans will have a competitive primary? Due to the fact that other prospective Republican candidates have shown interest besides Allen who stand a serious shot.

This will come down to the presidential race as well, Obama should win VA and then carry Kaine across.
