Well, looks like we're almost exclusively discussing only Democratic and Republican hopefuls.

According to wiki, the following people already entered the race under third parties/indy banner:

Green Party:

Stewart Alexander (2008 Socialist Party VP nominee)
Kent Mesplay (Green National Committee member)

Libertarian Party:

R. Lee Wrights (Libertarian National Committee Member)

Prohibition Party:

Jack Fellure (already a nominee, a perennial candidate from WV, who has been running in every GOP primaries since 1988)

Independents:

Naked Cowboy from New York
Joe Schriner (perennial candidate from OH)

I think the Greens will have Jesse Johnson, or Kat Swift on the ticket this year. Libertarians are guaranteed to nominate Root..Virgil Goode for the Constitution Party? Then there is always Nader.....

Bloomberg's already decided not to run. Sad There goes an insanely interesting election night. I'll have to settle for just "interesting".

Virgil Goode would be a semi-interesting pick, not that I think he would do well or anything.

Hopefully the Greens don't pick Jello Biafra.

We'll see. If the GOP nominates a crazy, he may not be able to resist.

What's the problem? Jello kicks ass.

I think Kat Swift is the only one who could get any press of note.  Not enough to break out of MOE land, but I like young and principled vibe.  (I can imagine a fantasy world where she could play spoiler in a state like NM.)

Naked Cowboy for president 2012! He'd be better than Huntsman or Romney.

Where's Nader? I won't vote for him but still it won't be an election without him
