My state is going to start collecting taxes from cigarettes sold on the Reservation.  Any cool factor will be monumentally outbalanced by the prices for me.  Plus, Canada already has these labels and it doesn't make them any cooler

Right, Canada has them and people here still smoke. The only way it affects non-smokers is when they see the gross pictures on the cartons when people throw theirs out in the street, rather than the garbage. But don't worry, you get a strong stomach eventually.

There is a grand total of one way I can think of in which the US is superior to Canada (that it is a republic and doesn't have an unelected foreigner as its Head of State), so anything that makes the US closer to Canada is automatically good.

Well I've always understood that if someone makes an incredibly stupid comment it's more logical and works better for your side to point out why it's stupid instead of just making an equally stupid comment in reply. Funny that others don't realize that.
