This is not a poll of the President against any conceivable candidate even if that person is now in Congress (Bachmann, Pence). We may now start to catch the style of the 2012 election. Unless House Republicans can inspire a shift in the values of American voters by November 2012, President Obama stands to be the ultimate winner of "running against Congressional Republicans" much like Truman in 1948.
