Pick out a few forum members and match them with a Senator they are most like politically. Please try to vary your selections (example: 5 Republican members, 5 Democrats...)

I would be Rick Santorum  Smiley  However, there are a few others I am like politically: Senator Sununu, Senator Talent and Senator Allen.

Republicans

States Rights - Saxby Chambliss (GA)
King - John McCain (AZ)
htmldon - Gordon Smith (OR)
Supersoulty - John Ensign (NV)
PBrunsel - Mitch McConnell (KY)
SteveNick - Bill Frist (TN)
dubya2004 - Sam Brownback (KS)

Democrats

Akno - Chuck Schumer (NY)
IrishDemocrat - Ted Kennedy (MA)
Ben - Evan Bayh (IN)
BRTD - Russ Feingold (WI)
Al - Harry Reid (NV)
Nym - Joe Biden (DE)
Gabu - Ron Wyden (OR)

I don't think IrishDem is the unoffical Democratic leader, like Ted Kennedy.

Akno21: Paul Sarbanes (MD)
Nym90: Carl Levin (MI) Would be Wellstone Sad
IrishDemocrat: Pat Leahy (VT)

Keystone Phil: Rick Santorum (PA)
John Ford: John McCain (AZ)

I actually agree with most of yours, Keystone. IrishDem would be Hoeffel, but he lost.

Senators have to get elected, so none.

Maybe Bunning.

He could be a Dick Durbin.

I haven't heard of Ron Wyden until now.  What's he done?

He's a liberal (but not Kennedy-Boxer type liberal). His big issue seems to be healthcare.

You don't seem as conservative as Sununu. Maybe Gregg.

He's too moderate on economic issues. Also, remember I'm pro-life.

ColinW - I think you've called yourself a moderate Republican in the past. Peter Fitzgerald maybe?

Peter Bell - Have no idea.

I think people are forgetting the purpose of this thread. Let's try to stop asking "Who would I be?" so much and comment on who others might be like.
