Is this the general case with the new flock of Republicans?

So far it's only the ones who've made some bold moves or decisions or embarrassed themselves.

This isn't isolated to GOPers, alot of Dems who were recently elected/re-elected have crappy approvals too. though you are right that the GOPers with the bolder moves are taking more flak.

Rubio Approval- 43/31

No. Just the most obnoxious and obtuse of them, apparently.

Comparing a Governor to a Senator isn't the best idea for the issue at hand. It is easier at points to be popular as a Senator then as Governor ( and the reverse is true at times when Washington is racked by scandal or whatever).

Scott and the Teabag Governors suck because they were elected to cut welfare entitlements and instead betrayed the voters by getting rid of government programs that assist citizens with their daily lives.  Rubio is still popular because he hasn't done anything yet and just talks about doing things, which is what the people prefer.

It's easier to like someone who isn't Governor, like Sink. Reverse last November's election results and wouldn't be surprised to see Scott leading this.

PPP had Scott's favorables in the low 30's even before he was elected.

Scott needed a miracle to win. He will never come as close to winning as he did on November 2010. He scraped by only due to a huge wave. He is one of the least likable people in politics today.

Agreed. I think Alex Sink's cell phone gaffe at the debate really helped him too.

Well really both parties elected two terrible nominees. So had Sink won, those numbers would look exactly the same for her right now.

She ran a terrible campaign.

While Sink's campaign was far from perfect, it's pretty disingenuous to call her the worst candidate of 2010. Especially when there are such luminaries as Sharron Angle, Ken Buck, Meg Whitman and Frank Caprio.

No, she was the worst.

Rick Scott should have been an easy target. She couldn't even turn enough of her own base out to defeat him.

She didn't even have a formidable primary opponent.

Quinnipiac will have a new FL poll out tomorrow, so we'll see how badly Scott does.

I took A-Bob's comment to mean that Sink would've proven a poor governor, not that she ran a poor campaign. The two are hardly synonymous.

It's extremely hard to be a governor these days, because most of the states are bankrupt.

Here in California, Gov. Brown has to deal with one of the most epic budget problems of any state in US history, and yet he has over 2-1 approvals.
