I first voted for Bob Straub for governor in Oregon in 1974.  He said everyone should put a brick in their toilet tank.  For president--Jimmy Carter 1976.  I wouldn't vote for him now, but I was young.

Actually, as you probably know, though with good merit it is not a good idea to put a brick into your toilet because it will corode your pipes instead to conserve water put a platic container filled with water into your tank for displacement.
