Well I have seen my share of Elections now. I have my favorites and my not so favorites. Although I have lost some races I feel I have made out pretty good (I became President). So here just tell what your favorite (and perhaps not so favorite) elections (Presidential, Gubernatorial, Senatorial) are.

For me my favorite election I have been in was when I ran against DemRepDan for Senate. To tell you the truth I think I could of beat Fritz, but throwing Dan in the mix made it more interesting. The infamous "David Duke" Ad was released by htmldon and his "cronies" began their hillarious "smear" campaign against me. It was all in good fun and when it was over we all had some laughs. Then I lost by only 1 vote to the most expierienced and seasoned politican in Atlasia. It would have only been better if I would have won, then again if I did win I may have made a lot of people mad at me in the Senate and then never become President.

Another favoorite is when I was Reaganfan's running mate under the Atlas National Party. That was a fun one (despite the laughs from the peanut gallery). You know Reagan and I never gave up in that race. Although we were laughed at it was fun to run in that race. If Reagan had not of dropped out we would not have won, but we may have been spoilers for Gustaf. Who knows Nym may have been a 2 term President if reagan had not dropped out.

Well those are my favorites, what are yours?

This last election when I was elected VP  Smiley

I also enjoyed my two Senate runs. It didn't turn out the way I wanted but it was fun running against my forum rival (IrishDem) and Akno (the underdog that everyone underestimated.)

My favorites are the nailbiters and upsets...

1) King vs. Gabu Special Senate Election (8-7 Me)
2) Defarge vs. NYGOP (15-14 Defarge)
3) Ilikeverin vs. ... (4-2 PBrunsel)

3) Ilikeverin vs. ... (4-2 PBrunsel)

I forgot that one. Draft PBrunsel for Governor. He did no campaigning. Nothing at all except voting for himself...and he won.

My favorite was my first Senate election, the one to replace Beet, back in July. There was no pressure on me, and looking back at my campaign posts, I seemed a lot different than I am now. Have I learned too much Senate speak:)

Anyhow, I was running against Keystone, Bullmoose, and NickG. Keystone was getting the most 1st preferences, but he got the most last prefences as well. If I hadn't gotten a vote on Sunday morning, I wouldn't have beaten NickG in the second round, and he, not me, would have beaten Phil in the Final round and became a Senator.

The recent Presidential election kinda crept on me, it seemed so far away, and then, voila, it was coming up this week. I don't think my ticket prepared as well as we could have for that one.

Ones I was involved inm: My independent senate race (2nd election); followed by the Presidential race and the race for the UAC nomination. I still think that if I won that, we'd've won-can't say I didn't warn them Cheesy

Yes, those are good ones.  Also, Nation's Reaganfan Ice Cream ad was classic.

The last Presidential race is my favorite so far.  Of the ones this time, either the District 3 or District 5 Senate Race will probably be the one I enjoy best.  Al vs. Texasgurl is the most intriguing race,  while Gabu vs. StevenNick has had the best debating so far.  The District 2 race looks like it will be an uninteresting cakewalk, the District 1 race is turning nasty, moreso because of the candidates supporters than the candidates, and the District 4 race has been as almost as quiet as a churchmouse.

I enjoyed my failed presidential campaign.  First I ran for the republican nomination against John Ford.  We had an absolutely killer debate.  (Sorry about announcing you had changed parties, John.  That was really childish).  Then I lost the nomination (sort of) against Reaganfan, who inherited Ford's delegates.  THEN, when the AFRNC fell apart and I felt that the Atlas National Party that replaced it was a little weird, I launched a third party run.  Finally, I convinced Reaganfan to drop out, changed back to being a republican, and went down in flames in the general.  My VP nominee didn't even vote.  That was the race that Gustaf won.

That was a fun.

I'd think District 4 would be larger. Shouldn't conservatives be jumping at the chance to finally defeat Harry?

I rather liked "Hugh wins 2nd preference vote!" Smiley

And Ilikeverin vs.       was entertaining, in a bad way, I suppose Wink

Don, I hope you make more ads in the future. Maybe a "Raise The Standard PAC" TV/Radio campaign will help the effort. Be sure to incude the Voter Education and Assistance Act Wink

You were just a few votes away from going to the final (+4 votes to Al/Lewis unseats Harry/Akno),

Hmm... the current Senate campaign is kinda fun (especially as no one has a clue who's going to win)... and I was genuinely pleased that the First Insurgency Ticket © did as well as it did.

But nothing, and I mean nothing, can ever beat the "Reaganfan Eats Dead Babies" Senate campaign!
Ah... what fine satire that was... I'm not sure whether or not Reaganfan got the joke though...

Yeah, that was a great race too. I remember being about to concede, when BullMoose swung to me and won me the election at the last second.

Good thing for bullmoose. Supersoulty, DC doesn't have that good ring to it.

I like my first senate where I got to deliver what I think was my best ad....

Im gonna use this thread for my campaign ads so I dont clog up the board Wink

Ad #1

*Andrew, dressed casually sits on a busy corner street block in NYC, Cars pass by and people walk in the backround*

"Terrorism is the greatest threat of our generation. It should be our one of our main, if not number one priority. There are some who expect to win the War on Terror by only punishing the causes. Well I say that not only must we do that but we must bring the terrorists them selves to justice. I'm strong on fighting those who wish to harm our freedoms. We must take the proper measures needed to accomplish this. We must not negotiate with terrorists. Hello I'm Andrew and I want to be your District One senator Smiley "

This ad paid for by the United Atlas Centrists

I will lay out my platform soon Smiley

Other fun races were:
-Demrepdan vs. Supersoulty
-Nym vs. Supersoulty
-Nym vs. Gustaf
-...and of course any race John has been in

Defarge and NYGOP.  I can't believe Defarge almost lost to someone who has never posted since the election.

Harry vs. Josh22 for the senate race....tied 8-8 and went into a tiebreaker which I won by 1 vote....definitely a nailbiter.
