Ok, my last post referred to your first speech in support of Naso.

Regarding your most recent speech, I have not missed a single vote in the Senate that I have been aware of (if you can point some out, that would be fine, but I'm not aware of any). Yes, sometimes I did not vote until the result was already known (due to real-life conflicts that prevented me being online for 2-3 days) but I still made sure always to vote, even if it would no longer affect the outcome, and several of these were for the losing side of the vote.

I also have proposed, and had signed into law by you, a major revamp of the way the federal government operates that will reduce bureaucracy and inefficiency and introduce competition that improves the overall working process of the federal government, while still of course protecting the rights of workers and first and foremost of all Atlasians to an efficient government that works for them. So I think most of your rhetoric about me being a big-government liberal is not quite accurate.

I think you are doing a fine job as President, but some of your assessments are a bit off.

While you are certainly free to support anyone you choose, Mr. President, as the incumbent I fail to see how I have not vigorously opposed communism in China, or how I would fail to provide the type of leadership that you speak of. We were very succesful during my administration in rebuking the Chinese attempt to impose its will on Taiwan, and I am a strong opponent of free trade with China due to its human rights abuses.

You sat around when it came to China and just let them insult you and you lucked that The Vorlon gave you a bed roses answer.

Um, we didn't exactly "sit around", we did have a number of things that we did (the Senate was pretty much a zero in terms of doing anything about that first one, and it was the first ever GM scenario, so things were a little different, but still...).

My policy certainly had support from folks of many different political persuasions at the time.

I quote The Vorlon "The answer was 'Do nothing'".

That's what you did, and you allowed China to insult both the Atlasia and Taiwan.

Um, actually no, we didn't do nothing. Being a libertarian, that was the "right" answer in his view, but that's not actually what we did. Still, we ended up getting a good outcome (in spite of ourselves, in his opinion).

I'll try to dig up that thread here in a bit...

President PBrunsel, that is such a crass comment.  If I had been president, I'd have said something much better!

You've got that right. Don't worry, I was very unpopular while I was in office too. Once you get out of office people will like you a lot better. :-)

(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

(President PBrunsel walks to the stage in front of Independence Hall as a band plays “Hail to the Chief”)

PBrunsel: Behind me stands the building where our founding fathers gave us the amazing and grand rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Right now a candidate for Senate promises to uphold those, and he is Colin Wixted, a passionate defender of these rights.

(Cheers and applause!)

Mr. Wixted is a firm defender of the rights of men to live and work in freedom and out of government’s hands. I can assure you that taxation with representation is also a problem in our nation as we have a Senate that tries to raise your taxes and take your money for a pork barrel spending program. This is wrong! If you earn your money you should be able to keep it from the special interests and bean counters in a far away capitol. We have the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and I can’t see a government machine that eats your dollars like candy bars representing those ideas.

(Cheers and applause!)

Our government bases its existence on those three freedoms, and Colin Wixted is the Senate candidate that best represents economic freedom and liberty. He best stands for my economic “Big 3” that has helped our economy and continues its expansion. To keep a prosperous economy, we must think of business first. The rights of business to make goods and profit our given to them by our ideas of free enterprise and they will not be taken away or infringed upon with Colin Wixted in the Senate.

(Cheers and applause!)

We must remember that it is the small business that is the backbone of our economy. Those men and women that work to keep their businesses working our the movers and shakers of our economy, and we must not forget this. We have to offer small businesses tax relief and benefits so that they can continue on helping our economy and stand against retail outlets. Colin Wixted is the candidate for small business.

(Cheers and applause!)

Colin Wixted is the candidate for a stronger economy, period!

(Cheers!)

His support of economic Conservatism, a budget that spends less, taxes that tax less, and a government that governs best by governing least all add up to economic success. To keep the strong economy, vote for Colin Wixted. Too keep your good job, vote for Colin Wixted. To keep our economy on top of the game and not down in the red, vote for Colin Wixted. In short, to vote yourself a job, vote for Colin Wixted for Senate!

(Cheers and applause as PBrunsel leaves the podium shake hands. “Only in America” by Brooks and Dunn plays.)

(Vice President Keystone Phil runs through traffic on the I-95 off-ramp to get to the ColinW rally in Center City with the President. The VP runs up the stage, jets across the stage, gets to the podium microphone and says...)

I just...I just had my driver come down from the Northeast when I heard about the rally. We got stuck in traffic, I jumped out of the car and decided to run the rest of the way....which would be from the I-95 exit to here.

(crowd gasps)

I just wanted to say...Go ColinW! Thank You!

(The Vice President collapses from exhaustion)

(Panama City, Florida)

(President PBrunsel walks to the stage as a band plays “Hail to the Chief.”)

PBrunsel: In the Senate tonight sits a bill that will award the Communist nation of Cuba with free trade and the rights of free nations, yet they are not expected to change. They are not expected to reform. This bill wants to reward Fidel Castro for killing, threatening, and imprisoning hundreds of thousands.

(Boos)

Your Senator StatesRights opposes this act. He, like I, feels that Cuba is an island of oppressed men and women who have been lied to by Castro and his cronies. They promised in 1959 a government that came from the people after the Batista Government was overthrown. He promised a free exchange of political ideas and economic freedom, he has given neither. He should not be rewarded; he should be hung from a sour apple tree.

(Cheers and applause!)

Castro is a lying and cowardly Communist who wants this act passed so that he can profit from Atlasian business. He wants to use the export money he will get from Atlasia to build himself a more palatial estate while his people are rounded up by the secret police. Castro will not make money off of American business.

(Cheers and applause!)

Senator StatesRights is committed to getting a free Cuba. He opposed former Senator Harry’s bill to grant Castro amnesty and then let him profit from Atlasia. He now opposes this new attempt to reward the Criminal of the Caribbean. StatesRights deserves reelection because of his strive to keep the fight for freedom strong in Cuba.

(Cheers and applause!)

I want to see a Cuba that is free forever from the terrible and evil menace that is Fidel and his brother Raul Castro. These two partners in crime deserve to be in a Havana prison waiting a trial by their oppressed millions, not sitting in office puffing on Cuban cigars. Let’s put out the Cuban cigars in February!

(Cheers and applause!)

In his undying search and fight for world freedom. StatesRights has continued to stand by the anti-Castro forces and he stands by them until

(Pull’s out the Free Flag of Cuba)

Until this flag flies over a free Havana.

(Huge cheers!)

If we hold the course in Cuba, keep tough with Castro, and reelect Senator StatesRights in 6 days than this flag will fly over Havana.

(PBrunsel leaves the podium to shake hands as Trace Adkin’s “Old Gray Coat” plays.)

(Indianapolis, Indiana)

(President PBrunsel walks to the stage as a band plays “Hail to the Chief”)

PBrunsel: This weekend you will go to the polls where you will have one responsibility; to vote for the best person capable to vote for. When you stand in that voting booth think to yourself, “We have a robust economy, we have shown China where to get off, we’ve stood up to the Communists and terrorists, and we have worked our way out of a Constitutional Convention, and this is a Republican Administration.” It has not been the Republican Party that is solely responsible for these victories, but my administration’s ability to unite the left, center, and right to end such crisises as the China and Constitutional Problems.

(Cheers and applause!)

Vote this weekend a straight Republican Ticket to continue the successes my administration has brought Atlasia. Vote the Republican Ticket for a free and open government, a small government, and, in short, the best government you can have.

(Cheers and applause!)

This week you are going to hear a lot of stuff from the candidates and the newspapers and the pundits. You might here Senator Al or Chief Justice KEmperor tell blatant lies that I want a nuclear war with China or you might here Senator Nym90 do even less campaigning than he has already.

(Laughs)

You have to vote your conscience though. You have to vote for your convictions. If you want a government that has a balanced budget, let your vote show that. If you want a government that keeps your taxes low, let your vote show that. If you want a government that comes from the people and not at them, let your vote show that. If you are voting for these things then your vote can only show a vote for a Republican Candidate!

(Cheers and applause!)

You need to vote yourself low taxes, and here in District 3 the candidate for that is not Senator Nym90, it’s Chief of Staff Mike Naso. He is the candidate who has promised to lower your income taxes. All Senator Nym90 offers are more bills to endanger the auto industry. All Nym90 offers is a repeat of the failed liberal economic polices of the past, Mike Naso is the future for this district

(Cheers and applause!)

Mike Naso is the candidate of the man who works hard for a living and wants to keep his pay and not hand it to the Welfare Office. He himself is a hard worker and he sympathizes with those who want the government to keep it’s hands out of their back pockets.

(Cheers and applause!)

This election is the great contest between the failed ways of the past and the great new ways of the future. Don’t stay in the dreary failed past District 3. Elect Mike Naso you Senator. Mike Naso- For people for a change.

(Cheers and applause as PBrunsel leaves the podium to shake hands. Lee Greenwood’s “I’m Proud to be an American” plays.)
