18 February 2011

Greetings fellow citizens!

After taking a four month break from Atlasia, I decided to stop by and check up on the state of our country.  Feeling that I no longer belonged into any of the Atlasian parties, I became an independent, and today I have decided to form the Move of the Workers, or MoW for short.

The goal of this movement is simple: Reclaim the wealth of Atlasia held in the grips of the capitalistic aristocracy and return it to its rightful owners, the workers.

The MoW stands for a complete restructuring of the Atlasian economy (don't worry, this isn't some Communist syndicate).  We want the millions of Altasians who work everyday to know what it's like to have food on their table every night, or to have new clothes, or to be able to take their children to the doctor.

With unemployment at 9.1%, the Atlasian government is obviously not helping the workers.  We need to get people back to work, with better pay, fairer hours, and equal treatment!

Whether or not this party gets any other members is unimportant, the MoW will work with any party as long as its goals are to help the workers.

So, with that, I bid you adieu. Wink

Reclaim the wealth?

Would you be willing to take payment in the form of "commodities" you know like corn, oil, gold, iron, soybeans?

This is going to be so rich if he responds the right way. Tongue

To be fair, this isn't exactly 100% "serious," but more for my own amusement. Wink

Well, seeing as an "official" party needs a requisite number of members, I suppose it's the latter. Smiley

What are these events that you speak of? The Mideast seems perfectly rosy to me Grin
We, of course, support the unions: the workers.

If it's an organization, you can count me as its second member. Wink

If you look at the Senate debates, you will notice I've already started pushing for the agenda you advocate. Tongue

Obviously not all, but most of Atlasia's existence has seen the left control all 3 branches of the Government. So is the fact that this organization exists an admission that the policies of JCP/UDL/SDP/whatever older parties of the left, have been a failure in regards to the workers?

Progressive taxation act, failed miserably, but I've not said my last word on fiscality.

Comprehensive Social Security Reform Act, I'm working to improve this bill with my colleagues and this will take a while before passing.

The left has a considerable record of doing nothing when it is in power. The fact the left was in power doesn't mean left-wing policies were implemented.

The MoW stands for a complete restructuring of the Atlasian economy (don't worry, this isn't some Communist syndicate).  We want the millions of Altasians who work everyday to know what it's like to have food on their table every night, or to have new clothes, or to be able to take their children to the doctor.

Huh

I'm pretty sure Atlasia has national public health insurance. Ah yes, yes we do... And considering it even includes dentistry, chiropractic services, and basic vision care and vision correction... it covers more than the Swedish Healthcare System.

Again, this isn't a 100% serious organization. More like, Atlasia can be annoying, so why not take it completely seriously like some people and get so affected by it. Grin

Also, the masses of the Atlasian proletariat demand an even larger universal healthcare system. Wink

Speaking for the overworked, under-paid, poor, forgotten, oppressed, millions of the Atlasian workforce, I would like to congratulate tmth for his victory. Smiley

I'd also like to congratulate the Senate victors, and hopefully they will be the vanguards for the complete eradication of the "upper" class. Grin

And also to everyone who didn't make it: Don't let it get you down. Remember, this is an GAME on a INTERNET FORUM. Wink

Shall we construct a "National Razor" in the center of Nyman, D.C. to aid in "eradicating" the upper class in a scientific humane way? I say we put Antonio and BBF in charge if handling it. Wink

You may want to be careful in how you define the upper class, a few of your allies in the senate and on the SC would get acquainted with the "National Razor" for the crime of being upper class Tongue
