I voted social issues, because there's a much greater difference between the two parties on those. If the two parties were true mirror images of each other, I'd vote economic.

I voted economic.  Democrats are a left-center party.  I'm not Green, Socialist, or Communist.  On social issues I would be quite Libertarian or an extremely left Democrat.

Libertarians are not socially left-wing, they are socially libertarian.

Economic, although there are some social issues like gun rights and affirmative action that I agree on as well.

Although I´m not really a Democrat, because I´m not really an American, I would definitely say social issues. ;-)

Social issues, though I agree with my party on both topics.

(If you want to argue that I'm not a real Democrat, the same can be said for the Liberal Party of Canada, of which I am a member.)

A combination of economic and social issues, as well as national defense and foreign policy.
