I'm sorry, but I really prefer orange...

Red is done to death... Actually, I would like a gold color, but this forum's yellow makes me think I'm going blind...

No rose. Someone must be more creative...

I'm willing to be creative so long as we dont get all our creativity plastered over with a page-two logo.

Perhaps we should nominate a logo committee?

Please nothing designed by committee. That is a death blow to originality.

I actually like the LibDem logo, but as I said, originality, I think is best. How about a meeting of two roads or something along those lines to celebrate both the more left wing and moderate members joining under one banner.

I'd be fine with either red or fuchsia, but please not orange, gold or yellow.

Also, I'm endorsing Hashemite for the Council (3 done, 2 left ! Tongue).

Well hey now. I'm busy doing school papers for a few days and I come back to see a brand new party! Change is always fun. Best of luck to you all.

Though of course I don't have a say, red I think would be the best color for y'all.

JCP is green, RPP is khaki which is basically the closest thing to yellow you can get but still be visible text on the forum, the POPs are (IIRC) blue, so of the four "big" colors that leaves red!

Red would make us seem like an exclusively left-wing party, which we're not/shouldn't be

I withdraw my candidacy for council as there are some far more capable folks than me running for it and I feel they are more deserving.

I'll still be a candidate for Party President, though.

I'm very meh on red, because, though I may be more left wing, we are not exclusively a left wing party and it's very inconsiderate to those members to act like we are. I like orange. We're a unity party, after all, not an exclusively left wing one.

As for the logo, maybe two hands reaching out to shake? Something like that?

I don't think choosing red signifies that we are an exclusively socialist/leftist party. That being said, Orange would be fine with me.

Well, I have to disagree there. As our name states, we are a left-wing party, a party whose goal is to gather all the different shades of the Atlasian left : going from liberal centrists like you to democratic socialists like Kalwejt. What we are not, however, is an un-ideological big tent party as was the DA. At least, that wasn't the idea I had when I joined the UDL. Let's be open, but let's be consistent.

About party colors, I think fuchsia could be a nice compromise between partisans of red and partisans of "centrist" color. This is the color used by the mainstream European center-left parties and would also fit with us quite well.

I support the use of a primary colour on the grounds that nobody actually knows what emerald/darkkhaki is.

Well, while we're not exclusively socialist/social democratis, we're certainly left-wing party. UDL was founded to be a new left force and is called Union of the Democratic Left. Isn't that clear?

We're not doing some PMDB, for God's sake!
